Just like some of you, our own company is a family business. Flying Circle Bag Company was started on the family ranch some 20 years ago by my inlaws, Joy & Jim Chittim. What started out in a few modest barns on a Texas family ranch has grown into something that's quite an operation today; military bases all over carry Flying Circle (www.flyingcirclebags.com) & you can find Mint stuff in retail stores & websites all over from Miami to Hong Kong.
About 11 years ago, Jimmy & I started our own adventure similar to Joy and Jim's. We came back from Chicago to help his mom out with the family business. Jimmy dove in to learn the responsibilities of the military side of FCB, and & I worked on the kids line. After taking a break to have baby Jack, it was time to get busy again. Armed with a little creativity, a hundred million ideas & an awesome group of employees, we re-launched the kids' line as 'Mint', and started to really take it to the next level. Today we're proud to send our Mint boxes to over 3,800 retail & home-based businesses across the US & international locations. Woo-hoo! It has been quite an adventure, to say the least. We are so grateful for the loyal following & continued growth.
Chris is our newest addition. He's our right hand man at mint, who manages our inventory & gets your order out to you. He even makes special appearances in our Atlanta showroom for autograph signings & order writing. He's just awesome, all-around. Lots of people keep Mint running smoothly, like Courtney, Alma, Eduardo, Celia, Juan, Arthur, & Dustin. Those are my peeps--they keep things under control.
Little Jack is the one I talk about too much. At 7, he's already designing Mint® stuff...hey, it runs in the family! He wants to see a set of black bags with giant yellow and red fire flames down the sides. (I'm only afraid he's talking about real fire.) I can only stop him for so long, people. ;)
